In-House Therapy

Our affiliates have a state-of-the-art approach to therapy and provide the finest in therapists, equipment, and services. They will  design a therapy program tailored to get you back into the swing of things and functioning at your highest  practicable level by employing a variety of high-tech and time-tested therapeutic approaches designed to work wonders for you!

In-House Therapy

Our affiliates have in-house, full-time, Therapy Teams which enable patients and therapists to become familiar with each other. We believe the right “match” between patient and therapist is important for optimal results and comfort.

In-house therapy programs are customized to meet the special needs of each patient; Team members collaborate with your Physician to create a unique vision and treatment plan especially for you. We can even provide specialized equipment to aid in your treatment.

The Therapy Staff is a major part of the foundation of our care.  Each therapist takes pride not only in the performance of the Therapy Department, but of the entire facility as well, providing ongoing education and training to other disciplines. Ensuring the continuity of care between Therapy and Nursing is part of a holistic approach to care-giving, as the several disciplines in the facility work together to effectively maintain your comfort and health.

A Holistic Approach

In-House Therapy allows us better control over the way we deliver care and get to know our patients. Therapists are full-time employees, so patients can rely on getting the same Therapists each day for the duration of their stay. A solid continuity between Therapy and Nursing allows us to work holistically with patients; they go home faster with the care we provide.  When the left hand always knows what the right hand is doing, patients get quicker results.

State-of-the-Art

A Passion for the Art of Caring

Our Therapy Team is passionate about bringing the latest techniques and procedures to our patients, utilizing therapeutic modalities combined with comprehensive programs for increasing range of motion, strengthening, balance training, pain reduction, and urinary incontinence. Our Speech-Language Pathologists incorporate research-based swallowing dysfunction, language, and cognitive procedures to address the needs of our patients.

In addition, we have Therapists certified in specialty areas of practice:

  • Wound Care and Healing
  • Neurological Conditions
  • Lymphedema
  • Pulmonary programs
At the heart of our Therapy programs is a deep awareness of the special needs of our more mature patients. This goes beyond the science and research—a human and compassionate understanding of the Art of Caring.

Integrated Cognitive Program

Our Integrated Cognitive Program combines a standardized functional cognitive assessment of the patient with a relevant inventory of their daily life details, to help us develop a more-complete understanding of each individual. By matching these two data sets in a meaningful way, we craft therapy programs to the patient’s specific needs. This can also reduce the stress and anxiety of being in a new place for either short-term rehabilitation or a permanent residence. The Integrated Cognitive Program is instrumental in formulating the best care for our patients with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Rehab to Return Home

Anticipating Your Every Need

We work with each patient, their family and their healthcare provider to determine the best care and treatment plans. When the goal is to return home, we scrutinize the details of our patient’s prior living arrangements, frequently performing “home assessments” to facilitate a custom-designed rehab program that prepares a patient for any particular challenges they might experience. Family members are encouraged to participate in assisting their loved one to prepare for discharge.

When the plan requires remaining in our facility, we work side-by-side with our Nursing Staff to ensure that our patients continue to achieve their highest potential. To preserve a patient’s dignity and independence, and to encourage their participation, we conduct ongoing screenings, even after the program’s completion.
